Great Britain Bobsleigh

Judicare are proud to be corporate partners of the British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association (BB&SA). The BB&SA is the National Governing Body for the sport of Bobsleigh in the UK, which remains the country's most successful winter team sport.

The key objectives for the BB&SA are to get more people involved in the sport, and to put the British Team in the Olympic medal zone. The cost of technology, the logistics of a worldwide bobsleigh circuit and the breadth and depth of expertise and support needed to compete at the highest level in modern sport makes bobsleigh an expensive sport. In addition, with the impending 2012 Olympics being held in London, less money is being made available to the Winter Olympic Sports while our Summer counterparts have never had it so good.

Judicare aims to support the BB&SA in their quest for 2010 and 2014 Olympic glory by contributing time and expertise as well as money. In volunteering we aim to help the Association raise money and put athletes on the track. From here excellence can be developed throughout the team which will of course be pivotal in the race for medals.

In particular Judicare aims to help fund junior athletes from across the UK including from under-privileged backgrounds, providing them with an opportunity to compete at the Junior Olympic Games in 2012.

Bobsleigh is an intoxicating sport and is built on the same foundations as Judicare, those of teamwork, excellence and success - making the partnership particularly enjoyable and rewarding.
